A new home indeed!

So, after much looking, and much pain in deciding not to rent a house just yet… we are now moved into our new apartment! I’ll add some pictures via my iphone when it’s light tomorrow. The new place is beautiful, and SO quiet! A major upgrade from our previous pad. We now have  a fireplace, a loft, vaulted ceilings, and two bathrooms. We are so excited to be here! Perhaps one of the best things about our new apartment is that it’s only half a mile away from the studio. I can actually walk to work! I even walked home for lunch today! This is great because I’m not the type of person that makes the effort to go walk in circles for exercise, but I will walk if I have somewhere to go. Our new location will insure that I’ll be walking at least a mile a day. That may sound trivial, but it’s a huge improvement on how much I’m currently walking. New photos coming soon!

Gotta Start Somwhere…

Good intentions.

Well, here goes another try at keeping a blog. My past attempts have been… shall we say, less than successful (see image left). My desire here is not to have a popular blog that lots of people actually read, but rather a journal that I keep for personal pleasure. Something I can look back on in the years to come and share with others along the way. So here it goes!

A new home?

Maelynn and I got a notice on our door yesterday stating that our apartments lease is up at the end of next month (August). This came as a surprise to us since we were under the impression that our lease wasn’t us until late September. Now we’ve started the search for a new place to live! Preferably somewhere other than the ghetto neighbourhood that we live in right now. Originally we were planning on looking for another apartment, but we decided to look into renting a small house after seeing the prices of some of the complexes we were interested in. We actually found a pretty nice looking house for rent in a good neighbourhood for 950.00 a month. We took a look at it this evening. It’s pretty ugly on the outside, but beautiful on the inside. The owner just laid hard wood floors down a couple of weeks ago, along with new carpet in the bedrooms. The walls have been freshly painted, and the Kitchen has some new appliances installed. We are praying about this one and looking into a couple others we found on Craigslist. It’s crazy to think that Maelynn and I are actually in the position that we can actually consider renting a house of our own. God has blessed us abundantly! Life goes by so quick! I guess that’s all for tonight…
